What does it take to turn localisation from an ambition into a way of working? Join the Geneva Innovation Movement and WeRobotics for an interactive conversation exploring how organisations can build locally led, globally supported models that genuinely redistribute decision-making, resources and accountability. Through practical insights, group discussions and peer exchange, participants will examine the roles of governance, funding, partnerships, technology, data and AI—and identify concrete ways to move from isolated pilots to lasting organisational change.

The Innovation Connection is a recurring, small-group networking and knowledge-sharing event designed to spark cross-sector exchange and peer learning. Organized jointly by the Geneva Innovation Movement (GIM), the Geneva Research Lab for Digital Impact (GRL), University of Geneva and UNICEF’s Digital Impact Division, the event offers a space for high-level professionals to discuss real-world challenges in a fast-paced, collaborative format. Participants are encouraged to bring their own challenges, projects, or problem statements to the table. Through short, structured conversations, they receive fresh perspectives and actionable feedback from peers — and share theirs in return. If you want to share your knowledge without bringing a challenge to the table, you are still most welcome to join this event. 

Is AI truly for everyone? Join the fourth Innovation Debate to explore whether the opportunities created by wider access to AI are worth the dependencies it creates. Leading voices will argue for and against the motion: “Access to AI is worth the dependency it creates.” Through an interactive discussion, the event will examine whether AI distributes or concentrates power, strengthens or weakens human learning and judgment, and how its benefits and labour, environmental and social costs are shared. The audience will be invited to weigh whether—and under what conditions—greater access to AI justifies the dependencies that come with it.
