AI in the Non-Profit Sector

Date: 24 April 2024 | 17:30 - 20:00

Location: SDG Solution Space & online

The Geneva Innovation Movement, the Center for Innovation & Partnerships at the University of Geneva, WWF Switzerland and the Innovation for Impact Network together organize the round table working event “AI in the Non-Profit Sector”.

We believe improving the way NGOs work with technology will enable increased efficiency and effectiveness at solving our shared goals. Generative AI is shaking up how organizations operate around the world. The non-profit sector needs to start grasping, influencing, and leveraging Gen AI technologies. Instead of organization by organization efforts, we see a true need for faster collaborative exploration. This event will offer insights into a larger global effort between 10+ INGOs around the topic of Generative AI and create room for joint learning and heated discussion.

This event will be in a hybrid setting.

Agenda

We will spotlight how four non-profits are already using Gen AI for impact projects and operations, and gather inspiration from a mapping of AI activities across INGOs. Then, we will tap into our collective intelligence in roundtables to explore key opportunity spaces for non-profits within two main focus areas:

  • How to leverage AI and create responsible best practices within our organizations?
  • How can non-profits influence the governance and development of AI?

We will close the evening with an opportunity to network.
