Leveraging Innovations and Investments for Women’s Health

Date: 23 MAY 2022

Location: WHO & virtual

The COVID pandemic has underscored the fragility of health systems around the world and highlighted the critical importance of building resilience. On the margins of the 75th World Health Assembly (WHA), the Health Innovation Exchange (HIEx) in collaboration with the Geneva Innovation Movement and other key partners will host a discussion on the importance of innovations and investments for resilient health systems.

The event will bring together key leaders from both public and private sectors around the connecting theme of developing new and innovative models for scaling access to healthcare particularly in the areas of cervical and breast cancer.  It will focus on innovations that can address several of the pain-points in prevention, screening, diagnosis, treatment and care for women in low and middle income countries. It will also bring investors committed to scaling access particularly for women in LMICs and explore new models for expanding investments in addressing women’s health.  The event includes an Innovation Marketplace, where innovations in the cancer and women’s health space will be showcased, as well as a Roundtable, where representatives from select countries, UN/international partners, funders, private sector representatives, investor representatives and innovators focused on building an ecosystem for scaling access and investments will be hosted.

This event is by invitation only, but open to members of the Geneva Innovation Movement. Please contact us for more information on how to gain access to the event.
